A little about me...
I am located in Banner Elk, North Carolina where I live a pretty simple life with my husband, three wonderful kids, our spunky cat, Kaspar, who begged us to adopt him, and our floppy, fluffy, Torbie kitten Sadie. We eagerly left our fast-paced city life and moved to the mountains of North Carolina in January of 2011 with the goal of slowing down. We achieved that goal and love living in this mountain forest we call home.
I love driving down our one-lane dirt road to get to our quiet area of the forest. I love picking the wild blackberries that grow all over our 6 acres. I love the cozy feeling our wood stove creates in our home during Winter. I love drinking a glass of blueberry wine from our local winery while getting lost in a novel. And I can honestly say: I love the life we have created here.
I’m also THAT person who values family portraits. The walls of my house are covered with portraits of my loved ones. My family is the most important thing in the world to me – and I KNOW your family means the same to YOU. You want portraits of your family, your kids, your spouse, your loved ones…portraits that you can cherish for years to come – and providing that is my top priority.
He’s the first cat I’ve had who can literally climb the walls.
She’s spunky and likes to hunt socks. Then she hides them.
One of the few pictures I have of myself. I have tons of my family, though!
This is literally my backyard. This is the trail that heads up the 6 acres of our property. This is why I love where I live.
A little about the business...
I focus on weddings, family and individual portraits, engagement sessions, and occasionally, other events. I can provide on-location photography as well as portraits in your home (by bringing the studio to you).
I have 10+ years of experience photographing weddings and have had the pleasure of photographing well over 150 weddings in numerous states (such as North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia – and even New Orleans, LA!) and settings, but especially love weddings in the High Country of North Carolina because of the absolute beautiful surroundings unique to this area.
I strive to provide a pleasing photography experience, high quality images worthy of display, a diverse product line, and exceptional customer service.
I am a long-time member of PPA, the Professional Photographers of America. I believe in giving to good causes. That’s why I proudly participate in PPA’s Family Portrait Month, that helps raise money for Operation Smile. I am also a participating photographer for Red Thread Sessions! A Red Thread Session is a complimentary photography session for adoptive families – held during the homecoming or shortly after the adoption. Participating photographers in Red Thread Sessions have agreed to celebrate the adoption by completely waiving the session fee and offering edited proofs from the session at no cost to you.
