Summer & Brian had the most beautiful wedding at their castle home in Banner Elk on June 16th, which is now a stunning new wedding venue: Chateau DuMont. This historic and luxurious mountain castle venue is definitely something unique to this area. If you want an elegant setting for your wedding in Banner Elk, this is it.
Their rehearsal dinner the night before is also worth sharing! These beautiful stone buildings create such a perfect backdrop.
The way they look at each other shows how much they adore each other – this has to be one of my favorites!
And a good time was had by all – as evidenced by all the smiling faces:
I’m not really quite sure what was going on at this moment, but the expressions kids make are entertaining.
Now, on to the wedding day!
No, this image isn’t out of order. This isn’t the reception. Hahaha!
When asked what the most anticipated moment of the wedding day was for her, Summer had two responses: seeing Brian as she walks down the aisle and the moment Brian sees that her mother and daughter are singing a song (in Italian!!) at the start of the ceremony.
Just look at this grand entrance!!
At this moment, Brian went in to kiss his beautiful bride and then promptly realized it wasn’t yet time.
The sweetest moment.
“We knew from the moment we met there was a spark we couldn’t deny.” –Summer
There’s always that one guest, right?
Confession: I love cigars. I have loved them since I was a kid, in fact. I love the smell. I love the way men look when they smoke cigars. I just adore them. Yes, I know it’s not necessarily normal, but goodness, I just loved that they had a cigar roller at this wedding.
He was “this” close to the cake. Of course, he never really had a chance.
